My great grandfather Fred started his journey to America from Palermo, Sicily in 1903, crossing over the Atlantic Ocean on the Santa Lucia to arrive at Ellis Island, NY. 

Despite having family already settled in Michigan, Fred placed his roots in Chicago, where he married my great grandmother Luciana in 1904. Fred and Luciana started a family and had a son, my grandfather Sam. Luciana shared her extensive family recipes with Sam while also creating a new batch of recipes with Sam’s wife, my grandmother Jenny.

Sam and Jenny established their first restaurant in 1972, with their sons Fred and Tony and their grandson Tony Jr. I’m proud to continue presenting these timeless family recipes to the world at Sineni’s Pizza Cellar.
